Suncorp Storm Ready Streets promotion

Information on how to enter the Suncorp Storm Ready Streets Promotion (“Promotion”) forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

PROMOTER
1. The Promoter is AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 trading as Suncorp Insurance of Level 28, 266 George Street, Brisbane QLD 4000 (“Promoter”).

PROMOTION PERIOD
2. The Promotion commences at 12.01am AEST (QLD) on 3rd November 2019 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on 24th November 2019 (“Promotion Period”).

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER
3. Entry is open to

a. Households and businesses; and
b. not-for-profit community organisations or not-for-profit groups (“Community Groups”),
who reside in or operate from an address in Queensland, Australia (each an “Eligible Entrant”) that successfully register and submit a minimum of 3 different photographs of their clean-up efforts in accordance with clause 6.c within the Promotion Period (“Eligible Entry”).

4. Entry is not open to:

a. employees (and their immediate family members) of the Promoter or any Related Body Corporate of the Promoter, as well as of any agency engaged by the Promoter in connection with this Promotion; and
b. any entrant who is under the age of 18 and has not sought and received the prior permission of a parent and/or guardian.

5. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “Household” means all the occupants residing at a single residential address. For the avoidance of doubt, to constitute a Household there must be at least 1 individual permanently residing at that residential address.

HOW TO ENTER
6. To enter the Promotion, Eligible Entrants must:

a. respond to promotional materials detailing the Promotion by either clicking a link from a page, or entering the web address www.stormreadystreets.com.au (“Promotion Registration Page”);
b. Successfully nominate either a Household or community group and complete all fields required for registration;
c. During the Promotion Period, send a minimum of 3 different photos of your clean-up efforts via email to hello@stormreadystreets.com.au.

Photos must include:

i. a group shot of the Eligible Entrant and any team members;
ii. the Eligible Entrant and any team members preparing for storm season; and
iii. a picture of any clean-up tasks (examples of which can be found at www.stormreadystreets.com.au) which have been completed.

7. Only Eligible Entries submitted via hello@stormreadystreets.com.au and received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period will be valid. Entries will be deemed received at the time that the Promoter is satisfied that all necessary requirements under clause 6 have been met and not at the time of submission of the Eligible Entry.

8. Limit of one entry per Eligible Entrant. Any subsequent entry from the same Eligible Entrant after the first Eligible Entry is received will be deemed invalid.

9. The Promoter takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible or misdirected entries or delays or failures in any equipment or telecommunications service used to administer this Competition.

10. Any costs incurred by any entrant which is associated with registration and photo submission (such as internet connection and data usage) are the responsibility of that entrant and at that entrant’s expense.

11. Eligible Entrants must submit their internet entry manually. The Promoter, in its absolute discretion, may reject internet entries if it reasonably forms the opinion that they have been entered using automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.

12. The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, declare an entry invalid or disqualify any entrant that tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering, submits an entry that is incomplete or not in accordance with these conditions, or otherwise acts in a manner that is disruptive, dishonest or calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this promotion.

13. The Promoter reserves the right to require an entrant to verify the validity of their entry within the requested time, including but not limited to an entrant’s identity, eligibility, address and to disqualify any entrant who does not satisfy any entry criteria in these conditions. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.

14. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.

15. The total prize pool is valued at $120,000 AUD including GST as at 3 November 2019. A prize value is the recommended retail value as provided by the relevant supplier(s). The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in a prize’s value due to exchange rate changes or otherwise.

REWARDS

COMMUNITY GRANT – COMMUNITY GROUPS ONLY

16. The first one hundred (100) Eligible Entrants who are a Community Group with an Eligible Entry (each, a “Successful Entrant”) will be notified via the primary contact nominated on their registration that they are a Successful Entrant in respect of a Community Reward in accordance with clause 32.

17. Suncorp Community Grants (“Community Reward”) are $1,000 AUD offered as cash and provided in the form of an electronic funds transfer into a nominated bank account. A maximum of 1 Community Reward can be claimed by each Successful Entrant who is a Community Group.

18. Eligible Entrants who are entitled to receive a Community Reward must be a Community Group and provide the following information within the Promotion Period in order to register successfully:
• Organisation name
• Organisation address
• Organisation website (and social media accounts if they have any)
• Organisation ABN (if they have one)
• Primary contact at the organisation including name, phone number and email

19. Suncorp reserves the right to decline to offer a Community Reward to a Successful Entrant and to determine in its sole discretion the final total amount of any reward (if any).

20. Community Rewards will be distributed in December 2019 by Suncorp’s charity partner Good2Give (ABN 32 089 603 314). Good2Give email – grants@good2give.ngo.

21. Good2Give may contact you during the promotion to verify or obtain additional information about your application or to obtain your organisation’s bank account details and an official document from your bank verifying your organisations bank account details. It is a condition of entry that Eligible Entrants consent to receive this contact from Good2Give.

22. If bank account details are requested, bank account documents must meet Good2Give standards and the bank account name must be in the Community Group’s name. If a bank account cannot be provided in your Community Group’s name, your organisation will not be eligible to receive a Community Reward.

STORM KITS – HOUSEHOLDS AND BUSINESSES ONLY

23. The first two hundred (200) Eligible Entrants who are a Household or business with an Eligible Entry (each, a “Successful Entrant”) will be notified via the name and contact details nominated on their registration that they are a Successful Entrant of a Household Reward in accordance with clause 32.

24. A Suncorp Storm Season starter kit (“Household Reward”) is one kit valued at $100 AUD. A maximum of 1 Household Reward may be claimed by each Successful Entrant who is a Household or business.

25. The Household Reward value is the recommended retail value as provided by the relevant supplier(s). The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in a Household Reward’s value due to exchange rate changes or otherwise.

26. A Household Reward will be provided in the form of items that would typically be found in a basic storm kit (first aid kit, portable power bank, USB, torch, insect repellent, sunscreen and batteries).

27. The promoter may change Household Reward kit items at their discretion, subject to availability.

28. Suncorp reserves the right to decline to offer a Household Reward to a Successful Entrant and to determine in its sole discretion the final total amount of any reward (if any).

29. Eligible Entrants who are entitled to receive a Household Reward must be a business or Household and provide the following information within the Promotion Period in order to register successfully:

a. Full Name
b. Team name
c. Address
d. Phone number
e. Email

30. Household Rewards will be sent to Successful Entrants after the Promotion has closed. Fulfilment and delivery may take up to 8 weeks.

NOTIFICATION OF REWARD RECIPIENTS

31. Successful Entrants will be notified via SMS or Email via the contact information provided in clause 6.b.

32. Eligible Entries will be validated and Successful Entrants will be contacted within 10 business days of the Promotion Period closing.

33. If: (i) a Community Reward or Household Reward (as applicable) is not claimed by a Successful Entrant or the Promoter has been unable (despite reasonable efforts) to successfully contact the Successful Entrant; or (ii) a Successful Entrant is determined by the Promoter to be ineligible to win a prize in accordance with these conditions, the relevant reward will be forfeited and instead awarded to next Eligible Entrant with an Eligible Entry (who has not already qualified as a Successful Entrant) in accordance with clauses 16 or 23 (as applicable). Any resulting Successful Entrants will be contacted in accordance with clauses 31 and 32. That process will be repeated if required.

GENERAL

34. The Promoter may retain Eligible Entries to use in the instance a Community Reward or Household Reward is refused, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

35. Limit of one entry per Eligible Entrant. If an Eligible Entrant is a Successful Entrant more than once, that Eligible Entrant is only eligible for one Community Reward or Household Reward (as applicable).

36. If a reward (or part of a reward) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, substitute alternative goods or services of equal or higher value. The Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by a winner or any other party if a reward (or part of reward) is unavailable for any reason.

37. If an Eligible Entrant has not been verified to the satisfaction of the Promoter (in its absolute discretion) within the time period required by the Promoter, the entries submitted by the Eligible Entrant may be deemed invalid in the Promoter’s absolute discretion.

38. Rewards are not transferable or exchangeable.

39. Proof of identity, residency and eligibility is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a person cannot provide suitable proof, they may forfeit a reward in whole and no substitute will be offered.

40. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any person who provides false information or who seeks to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate this Promotion.

41. Personal information is being collected by the Promoter in order to facilitate the conduct of this Promotion. For this purpose, personal information may be disclosed to selected third parties, including prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Participation in the Promotion is conditional on providing this personal information. The Promoter will use and handle personal information collected as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at http://www.suncorp.com.au/privacy. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how individuals may opt out, access, update or correct their information, how individuals may complain about the treatment of their information, and how those complaints will be dealt with.

42. All of the Promoter’s decisions in relation to all aspects of this Promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

43. Each Successful Entrant grants the Promoter permission to use the photos submitted in respect of the Promotion for any marketing or promotional activities associated with the Promotion.

44. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its associated companies and agencies and any of their personnel (the “Relevant Parties”) exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any Eligible Entrant in connection with the Promotion, Community Reward or Household Reward, including without limitation: (i) any indirect, special, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party; and (iii) any liability for personal injury or death. To the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

45. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, or is interfered with or disrupted in any way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, weather event, civil unrest, strikes, computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries.

46. The Promoter reserves the right to end the Promotion early.

47. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise; (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Promotion; (iv) any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the administering this Promotion (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise); or (v) any delay in delivery (when not directly caused by the Promoter or its supplier), or failure of safe delivery of a reward.

48. A Successful Entrant accepts a reward at their own risk. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting a Community Reward or Household Reward is the responsibility of that Successful Entrant. Independent financial advice should be sought.

This is a trade promotion and Successful Entrants are selected on the basis that they are the first:

(a) 200 Households or businesses who are Eligible Entrants and submit Eligible Entries; or
(b) 100 community Groups who are Eligible Entrants and submit Eligible Entries.
